In a small pamphlet from the early 1900s titled "Marble's Sixty Specialties," the first item listed was the Marble's® Safety Axes Nos. 5 and 6. Like their contemporaries today, the axes featured Hickory handles that accepted the metal guard when open. Webster Marble boosted that the axes could cut down an 8-inch Norway Pine in five minutes. Etched on the axe handle is Marble's famous slogan "For every hour in the open." This axe, whether tucked away with camping gear or packed into the backcountry will prove indispensable in countless outdoor chores such as building a hunting blind or chopping firewood. |
